Don’t hate me…but..I didn’t know anything about the show Downton Abbey until four days ago when I saw a friend post about it on Facebook.
As it turns out”Downton Abbey,” is a PBS drama and it wraps-up its third season on Sunday. Fairly new as it might be, the idea really came from a book that is nearly a quarter of a century old. Twenty four years ago Gail MacColl and Carol Wallace wrote “To Marry an English Lord,” it is the back bone of this now beloved show. Wallace says that “Downton Abbey” picks-up where “To Marry an English Lord” leaves off, it tells the story of what happens after an American girl marries an English aristocrat.
Intrigued further simply because I now know Maggie Smith stars in the show. She portrays Lady Grantham. Of course I know her from her role in Harry Potter as Professor Minerva McGonagall, the Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. :)
So anyway, in honor of the 3rd season finale to air tonight I thought I’d put together some fun printables and such for the affair.
