24 Weeks and four days

Next Thursday I have another doctor appointment scheduled to check up on our baby boy. I am fully prepared for them to tell me I need to take the glucose screening test. I remember this from when I was pregnant with Braeden and it's not cool. You have to sit at Labcorp for over an hour and drink this syrup, sugary tasting liquid and then have your blood drawn. Plus you can't have anything to eat before hand which is going to kill me. I mean I get light headed as it is and there have been a few times when I have been on the verge of passing out. I guess that means it is good to have the testing done, I'm just not looking forward to it.

Lately I have also been experiencing more Braxton Hicks contractions. For the most part they are painless, it's just an uncomfortable tightening. And my back is giving me trouble but it's nothing a heating pad and/or bath can't help. So I'm feeling fortunate for the most part; I know it could be worse.

And while the baby is moving around less there are times when he hits pretty hard. It's always good to know he is in there and still being active. I'd be worried otherwise.

This morning I purchases some baby boy clothes from Old Navy. This is the first time I've gotten anything for our babe. I also ordered a couple things for Braeden so he wouldn't feel left out.

And Brian and I looked at a bedding set online which I think we both like. He says the realness factor is getting stronger as the pregnancy is moving farther along. I'd say so!
