Hello Kitty Build-A-Bear
Thursday, December 3, 2009
Did you know you can now make your own Hello Kitty doll at Build-a-Bear?GENIUS!
I took a screen grab so you could see some of the options of the Hello Kitty doll you can build.
You can personalize her not only with cool Hello Kitty clothes and accessories, but also with her very own sound! Yes, that's right, you can add a sound to your doll. The sound can be a giggle, a song like Frosty the Snowman and they even offer Jonas Brothers. The extra cost is either $5 or $6 depending on which option you choose. I know my kids love toys with sound and music, so I don't think the extra money is too steep for a doll they will end up loving.
Then of course there is the special Holly Moose, but she is a bit more pricey at just under $50. Personally that does seem a bit steep to me, but she is cute. Holly Moose(TM) is wearing a red sherpa trim zip-up jacket, white crew neck tee, dark skinny leg jeans, sherpa trim boots and striped hat with red bow. ABC Family recently aired her movie, so there's a special Holly Moose show you could watch while cuddling with your stuffed moose friend.
Build-A-Bear has some great ideas, so it's a thought for your young gift receivers.

Toy Fair attendees will be able to create their own custom Printies stuffed toys at Techno Source's hi-tech toy factory using home inkjet printers (Jacob Javits Center, Booth #3149). Printies Design Studio kits and refill packs will be available at retailers nationwide in fall 2009. The entire line will retail for under $20 and is appropriate for children ages 6 and up."What child wouldn't want to have the power to design their own toy and then watch it come to life exactly as they imagined it?" says Eric levin, president, Techno Source. "First, at MyPrinties.com, kids have access to powerful design tools that are simple to use, and completely kid-friendly. Then, thanks to our specially designed Printies fabric sheets, kids can print their creation right onto pre-sewn fabric templates that are ready to be stuffed. There is no cutting, no sewing, no gluing, and most importantly, no mess! The end result is a stuffed toy that looks amazing and is 100% created by the child."
The Printies online design studio at MyPrinties.com will offer kids an online experience that is simple, intuitive and entertaining. MyPrinties.com will offer children thousands of professional art assets and design tools like coloring, painting, and resizing effects. There, children will be able to start with a blank canvas or select from quick start templates that allow them to customize professional designs. Discovery Artist's Rocker
Tuesday, May 6, 2008
This has to be the coolest (or as Brae would say Cooliest) children's rocking chair I have ever seen! This rocking chair made especially for your child artist has a pencil box armrest with sliding lid, a "flip-down" drawer beneath the seat for paper, markers, crayons and other art supplies and rotating color wheel at the top. The back of the chair which you sit against is also an 8 x 10 frame where your child can store their most favorite work of art for all to see (when they're not busy rocking of course).
Plus on the seat it has a cute little poem, "Apples are Red, Oceans are Blue, I love to make pictures, Especially for you! So give me some paper, I'll put on my smock, And start my next masterpiece, My Art Rocks!"
How perfectly adorable is that!?
Unfortunately it is too small for my little boy, but man he so would have had it if I had known about this a couple years ago!
Here's a link of you are interested in reading more about it!

Chair designs for kids!
Wednesday, July 4, 2007
"The chair for a child with the quality for an adult." Le Baron is a children's chair for children between the age of 1 and approximately 10. They can come with or without legs and in a couple different colors and materials.
The designer's website states the following:
"They experience round, secure shapes to be cosy spaces, in which they can be seated in a sheltered surrounding. Above all the chair provides a sense of security."
How absolutely cute is this chair!? It is so perfect for the modern day child. So maybe they are ergonomically designed and give security, they are also adorable and look super comfy. Um...will they be making this in adult size?
