Pajammie insanity

It's not done mind you but it's looking like a shirt. I have been working on the pajammie top for Braeden with the fabric he picked out. It's really hard to sew in sleeves, I do not like it sam I am!

I need to press everything and hem the bottom of the shirt and then I can move onto the pajammie pants which I am hoping are easier. Because this top gave me a really hard time. Even the sleeve tutorials I have been reading were too difficult for me to understand. How does one sew sleeves onto a circle opening of something already sewn shut? I'm telling you it took me two nights to JUST do the sleeves and they are NOT pretty. But they did manage to come out even and the top does fit him. =o)

Also, the neck is huge. See, Brae's noggin' is made for his enormous sized brain. I had to make the neck big enough to get over his head, but then once it was on him it looked HUGE laying on his shoulders. =o/

Maybe I'm being too hard on myself.

    If I weren't so internet savvy would I have become a fabric addict so quickly?

    Why!? Why oh why did I not start sewing sooner? I love it. Even while sitting at work doing my web programming guru thing, there are images of fabrics and patterns floating through my brain. Perhaps I was a seamstress in another life. I don't know, all I know is this is a hobby I am enjoying very much. I love the creativeness and the challenge involved in everything. It's making me giddy and happy and I look forward to more happy sewing!

    I am in love with the Japanese prints and cannot wait to decide which ones I need to add to my quickly growing collection of fabrics! Woohoo!!! Can you hear me squealing!?
