And as John Neerland and Nina Orezzoli from the American Institute Of Graphic Artists discovered, many graphic design terms have an inherent dark side to them.There are 25 graphic related terms you can find in the flash project they created. Listening to the blood dripping down the drain is a bit unnerving, but the site is well done if you like this sort of thing.
One of the terms is bleeding (hence the blood dripping) and as print designers know, bleed is when an element extends to the edge of a page.
I think even if you find the design grotesque, you'll have to agree the illustration is very well done and the concept of learning design terms in such an interactive way is pretty darn cool.

I know it is not the first website that allows you to freely draw all over the page, but it has a little flash presentation which I thought was cute.
So...check it out!

It uses Flash, so if you don't have Flash than download it, it is free.
But this site is so inspiring to me. I am a web designer and I love working with Flash. But something this creative and thoughtful is quite amazing.
The music is so relaxing. Each narrative that opens is beautiful. The captions that come up to describe different words are all very motivating.
It's not long, so just go look at it. If you enjoy intelligent and creative original art than you will love this.
