It may be necessary for me to begin looking for yet another web host. The company I currently use is constantly doing "maintenance" that never seems to go right...or even help for that matter.

Web hosting information is easy to come by, but they all seem to sound the same to me. I need a way to compare and feel comfortable with the options.

And apparently there is now a site you can go to for people who are in your corner, trying to help you with it all. Web Hosting Information provides you with useful web hosting related resources and company reviews.

They seriously break it all down for you. You read their take on all the different hosting environments out there now. You can compare features, prices and server space of all the hosts that claim to be the best. There are positive and negatives to almost all of the reviews, so it's not like they are trying to sell you everything.

Even if you will be needing a PHP friendly environment, or a hosting server that is UNIX friendly, there are a plethora of resources for you to peruse to meet your specific needs.

Most importantly to me are the disk space I get and the reliability of the host. I need a lot of disk space because I run several different blogs; with photos and music. So I also need to take into consideration the monthly data transfer allowed by the host. For those of you making money off your sites, they have resources available for e-commerce hosts as well. It's easy to find everything because they have a drop down box, search widget allowing you to customize your results.

They also have a weekly podcast where you'll get all of the latest hosting industry news and reviews. If you're not patient enough for a podcast then you can subscribe to their RSS feeds.

Their latest entry on the news feed discusses "Kagi recently announcing their new partnership with Microsoft that will make their entire catalog of products available through the Microsoft Windows Marketplace shopping portal."
