You may or may not have heard about the HP Magic Giveaway. I just read about it myself this morning on Techie Diva.Apparently, you can win $6,000 worth of HP merchandise and 50 different blogs around the world are hosting the contest. Techie Diva is hosting one which starts today on December 6, 2008 and ends on December 11, 2008. All you have to do is write a short paragraph on your blog about what you will do with the package and why you should win it. You add a link in your post to Techie Diva, send them an e-mail and wah-la you're registered. A winner will be randomly chosen, but there are a few ways to earn extra entries which you can learn at the Techie Diva website.
If I were to win the prize I must admit I'm not exactly sure what I would do. Our home was recently burglarized and both my husband and I had our laptops stolen. Fortunately, home insurance will help cover some of these losses, but nothing to the extent of the prizes HP is offering. Their TouchSmart PC is just so amazing to look at in the specs and images that if I had it in front of me I think it would take me a few minutes to compose myself and stop drooling. Myself aside, I know my brother is looking for a new laptop and so perhaps I'd give it to him. I think I would also ask the priest at St. Marget's of Scotland if they could use any part of the package for their offices or connected school. Most of all, I'm pleased HP is offering such a truly magical contest and it is exciting to know Techie Diva is a part of it.
