Sometimes when artists sing, you can't hear their accent. I'm not sure if it is because they try to fade it out, or if singing somehow forces you to drop the accent. But this is not the case with Malcolm Middleton. You cannot deny his Scottish accent and I am absolutely in love with it.

He has a new album coming out on March 15, 2007 and I think I'm going to have to actually buy it. The album is called "Brighter Beat" and I have listed to "Cheer Down" and "Four Cigarettes" already. Silly to buy an album based on two tracks? Possibly. But coupled with the Scottish flair, I also love the "heart on his sleeve" lyrics and emotion.
