And for good measure, something new

Meet "The Shondes" and why am I introducing you to them? Because Elijah Oberman plays the violin like a beast!

From Brooklyn, New York we have Ian Brannigan no guitar, Elijah Oberman on violin, Louisa Solomon on the bass and Temim Fruchter on the drums. I didn't leave out the vocals, they ALL sing.

Their MySpace page says their music ranges "from Classical to Jewish to Queercore and Feminist Punk." Quite the mixture and who knew the blend could sound so sweet? It's energetic, it's funky, it's exciting and new. I'm looking forward to hearing more from these guys.
