Man I always wanted a Mogwai and yes, I would have been a punk kid and stolen the name from Gremlins and named by Mogwai "Gizmo."

**sigh**

But no, there is a band "Mogwai" from the UK, precisely in Glasgow, which apparently has some sort of genetic device which allows breeding of awesome musicians. They are under contract with Matador in the US and Play It Again Sam Records in the UK. They have six full albums and seven EPs. Most recently they worked on the score for the movie "The Fountain."

They have a roller coaster ride of rock to explore. They mix it all up and give a little something-something to all types of listeners. They have been around for 10 years have recently been celebrating their decade of rock in hometown Scotland. I recently wrote about "Young Galaxy" well, they have been touring with and helping to support "Mogwai."

It is a shame there has been some negative PR involved with "Mogwai" lately. Sometimes people just need to be quiet and quit judging, but hey, they make great music and I recommend listening.
