This weekend I went to an engagement party that was indeed a bit sappy at times. As it should be of course. Cheeseball induced sap is the best.
Corey Crowder makes cheesey music, it's a fact. I'm not sure if that was his intention, but it is what it is anyway. I like his music, I have no qualms with it whatsoever, I'm just letting y'all know. It is definitely cheese in an inscribed, silver champagne flute. =o)
He gets some of his musical influence from James Taylor and though their voices are not the same, I can sense a bit of that influence in his music. And I hear some of The Allman Brothers. He's acoustically very talented and has put out several albums in a small span of time. Though the track I'm sharing is of the cheeseball persuasion, I can assure you he plays folk and alt. country music as well. It seems his musical personality changes as often as Jennifer Aniston's hair.
But his music is sweet, very sweet and though I haven't seen it in the Family Christian store near me house, I imagine they would stock it if they knew about him. It has a reverent undertone, very subtle but refreshing all the same.
