Strangely recorded drums and a mingling of piano, Los Halos disappointed many fans when they released their album
For Romona back in 2002. The negative head shaking began because their music went from being random layering of noises to something more acoustic and intricate. The changes made the album more chill and less overwhelming. It's not a bad thing in my eyes, but what do I know?
Band Members:Samezvous - vocals, guitar and songwriting
Momo Fats - bass
Brendan Mctear - guitar, keyboards and harmony vocals
Jon Vital - drums
I wish I could say I knew what the band is up to now, but I don't. Taking the CD on a long road trip, I do know their music made it to the ears of a fellow at Loveless Records. John said he was "blown away by the emotional intensity that Los Halos showed." The rest is, as they say, history; they were signed.
For Ramona (2002),
Los Halos (2003) and
Leaving VA (2003) have all been put out on the Loveless label.
So what happened to them? Where did they go when they left Virginia?
