Real quick something about Pandora.

The folks at Pandora sent an e-mail out to users:

"We wanted to share some tips for creating Holiday stations on Pandora! Just start by entering the name of a holiday song you like. To create a station based on an artist who performs holiday music, enter their name, followed by the word 'holiday' (for example, 'Ray Charles Holiday')."

I'm listening right now, Jeanie Bryson singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," which happens to be my favorite holiday song. It really doesn't matter who is signing, I love the lyrics and the feeling. Of course Jeanie Bryson is doing a fantastic rendition of it and I find it quite soothing.

And for a little something soothing to add to your Tuesday, we have Chris Daniels & the Kings. Their sound is a brassy, blues-rock originating somewhere between Memphis and New Orleans with an almost 25 year history as Colorado's ambassadors of rootsy funk and swing.

The Kings Are:
Chris Daniels, rhythm guitar, vocals
Colin "Bones" Jones, lead guitar
Chris Stongle, drums, vocals
Kevin "Bro" Lege, bass, vocals
Dean LeDoux, keys, vocals
Darryl "Doody" Abrahamson, trumpet, vocals
Jim Waddell, alto, tenor sax, flute, vocals

They have been compared to "Little Feat with horns" and "John Hiatt meets Tower of Power" and "Keb Mo meets The Subdudes with horns." Now it's up to you to make your judgement call to comparisons, but for me, it's just good music.
