"Ashes of American Flags" presents Wilco live in concert during their 2008 tour. Culled from concerts in five quintessentially American venues - Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, Tipitina's in New Orleans, The Mobile Civic Center in Mobile, The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC - the film captures the energy, poignancy, and musicality of a Wilco concert and tour.

In other Wilco news, last Monday's announcement that Wilco will be kicking off their latest tour with two nights at The Pabst Theater on April 14 and 15, an already loaded spring show schedule just went to a whole new level.
Yet another reason to get excited is that this announcement puts the cherry on the top of an already great stretch of music from the folks at the Pabst/Riverside/Turner Hall. Beginning on Wednesday with the Drive-By Truckers at Turner Hall (more on this later), the three venues have booked shows with Dark Star Orchestra, The Black Lips, The Gaslight Anthem, Los Campesinos!, Jeff Beck, Peter Bjorn and John, M. Ward, Neko Case, Flight of the Conchords, Animal Collective, the Decemberists, and now, two nights of one of the Midwest's greatest bands, Wilco.
