Rockers "
Holy Rolling Empire" have announced the release of their debut album,
Gigantis, due out March 3 on Burning House Records.
The Tucson, AZ natives have created a sound reminiscent of the sixties and seventies eras, topped with a modern flair and undeniably catchy riffs. The quintet has stormed the Southwest with a growing, faithful following since their formation in 2007.
Their sound is sort of early 70s psychedelic rock; it is punchy and full of life. Their myspace page says they sound like Elliot Smith, but I'd say their sound is quite different. Their level of talent isn't quite up to par as what I would say Elliot Smith was at his prime. Hence this being the DEBUT of "Holy Rolling Empire" and not an album notch farther down the belt.
"Holy Rolling Empire" is set to tour the southwest, with dates in Tucson and Austin stretching to March 19.
