Au Revoir Simone release their stunning new single 'Another Likely Story' - complete with remixes from hotter than hot French duo Aeroplane, Neon Indian and Social Disco on December 7th. This is the second single to be taken from their latest album 'Still Night, Still Light', and is due for release through Moshi Moshi Records (Florence & The Machine, Casiokids, Lykke Li). Labels: Au Revoir Simone

Au Revoir Simone's Still Night, Still Light isn't due until next Tuesday, but the Brooklyn-based synth-pop trio is currently streaming the album in its entirety on Myspace Music. Produced by Thom Monahan (Vetiver, Little Joy), the album is the follow up to the keyboard-toting heroine's 2007 full-length debut The Bird of Music. Gone are their previous releases' bells and whistles, and in their place is a stark closeness. Featuring some of the band's most quiet moments (see the glacial grace of "The Last One") while also containing some of their most raucous (see the dizzying exuberance of "Anywhere You Looked"), it's easily the band's finest hour. Not really much of a write up for you today, but I do have some songs to share. And news on some of the entertainment in store for President Obama's Inauguration. Sources told the Post's Lena Sun that Bruce Springsteen will perform at Barack Obama's inauguration week welcome event January 18, 2008 on the National Mall. The event will be on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and open to the public for free. The Boss has been a bigtime Obama backer and they campaigned together in Cleveland during the general election.Labels: Au Revoir Simone, bosque brown, bruce springsteen, grab bag, here we go magic, mix, squares on both sides, the online romance

Motivated by their love for keyboards and vintage drum machines, Brooklyn indie rock darlings Au Revoir Simone - Heather D'Angelo, Erika Forster, and Annie Hart - made their worldwide debut in late 2005 with the sweet synth pop mini-album Verses of Comfort, Assurance and Salvation, before following up with 2007's critically-revered debut LP, The Bird of Music. A band with an essential respect for order and simplicity, but who also dabble in experimentation and playfulness, Au Revoir Simone are proud to now present Reverse Migration, a collection of their favorite remixes and cover versions their friends have created from The Bird of Music. Due out November 11th via the band's own Our Secret Record Company, the album features contributions from a host of indie luminaries - The Teenagers, Darkel of AIR, Montag, Best Fwends, Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor, Pacific! and more.Labels: Au Revoir Simone
