Low Vs Diamond is proud to announce two upcoming national tours this spring in support of their critically acclaimed self-titled debut. Starting April 7th at The Warfield in San Francisco, CA, the Los Angeles quintet will hit the road with Jack's Mannequin, followed by a two-week co-headlining run with Ben Lee beginning May 4th. Spending most of 2008 winning over fans and critics with their intoxicating mix of big notes and melodies, and high-energy live shows, this Rolling Stone Magazine "Artist To Watch" follows up their landmark video for single "Heart Attack" with another innovative short for their latest single "Don't Forget Sister."
Low Vs Diamond had an incredibly rewarding 2008 that included Rolling Stone Magazine hailing "Don't Forget Sister" as "one of the top singles of 2008" and "the year's best arena-rock anthem." The band also hit the road with Santigold and Nikolai Fraiture (The Strokes) and had hypnotizing performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
Low vs Diamond is, in every sense of the word, an American band - with all of the members hailing from backgrounds as diverse as their hometown cities themselves...Seattle (vocals-Lucas Field), Chicago (drummer-Howie Diamond), San Francisco (keyboardist-Tad Moore) and Atlantic City (guitar-Anthony Polcino and bass-Jon Pancoast). This melting pot of musicians was established a few short years ago when they formed Low vs Diamond.
"She said don't forget sister
she'll always be true.
You come from a good home
that won't forget you."
"Don't Forget Sister" is such an amazing song. I love it. It's repeat worthy on the playlist for sure. And I think people around you will feel compelled to know who you are listening to if they don't already know.

Quitzow and
Setting Sun return triumphant from their European tour just in time to hook you up with new MP3s (including a kick-ass cover of Tom Petty's "You Got Lucky" by Setting Sun).
Setting Sun's cover of Tom Petty's "You Got Lucky" was recently released as part of Buffet Libre DJ's compilation CD Rewind 2. Gary Levitt of Setting Sun explains, "I'm so proud that I recorded, mixed, mastered and sent the track off to the Buffet Libre DJ's in Spain the very next day. We just got back from our European tour on Christmas Eve with a December 27th deadline looming. It was started on Dec 26th and then sent off completed Dec 27th! That's old school style. That's how records used to be made.

Since there wasn't really anyone special at the Delaware State Fair this year we didn't go to see any of the concerts. What I want to know is how Minnesota ended up with such fantastic bands on their State Fair Concert List...
Aug. 26: Paramore with Jack's Mannequin, Phantom Planet and Paper Route, $30.
Are you freaking kidding me!!! Can you imagine that set!?
Of course they have The Backstreet Boys playing on another night, but I'd say their August 26th showing makes up for it whole heartedly.
And then I found out...Paramore visited Philadelphia on Friday, August 15th for its summer 2008 tour with Jack's Mannequin, Phantom Planet and Paper Route. The groups performed on the Festival Pier at Penn's Landing. Holy mackenzie that is an amazing line up. The whole B, B & C crew would have rocked out! One of Braeden's favorite songs of all-time (his whole four years hehe) is Jack's song "Dark Blue." Man oh man, he would love to see them live, I just know it!
And so on Jack's MySpace page there is a message from their fan club.
The release of The Glass Passenger is rapidly approaching. Jack's Mannequin is turning to their faithful friends, The Messengers, to help them get ready for their upcoming tour and the release of their new album, The Glass Passenger. That's why The Messengers have just launched, "The Glass Passenger Adventure."
As a Messenger you'll be helping to let the world know about Jack's Mannequin, but you'll also be working towards winning the Grand Prize. We don't want to give too much away, but it involves hand-written lyrics, a flyaway and a couple more things. Did we mention that the winner will be hand-selected by Andrew himself? Want in?
