The bright, energetic debut LP from Los Angeles' Army Navy blends chiming 60's pop under blankets of guitar fuzz with hints of bubble gum, new wave, Motown, and sunshine jangle, creating a set of absolutely irresistible pop tunes.

Frontman Justin Kennedy has moved on from his early days in Seattle's Pinwheel, a side project with Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie, Postal Service) to assembling the youthful new quartet made up of close friends in his newly adopted home of Los Angeles. The band, known for their explosive live performances, have shared the stage with artists ranging from the Arctic Monkeys to the Soft Pack to Cut Copy. Their album boasts frenetic drumming by the legendary Pete Thomas of Elvis Costello and The Attractions fame, who had been a longtime fan of the band and begged to play on the album after hearing that their original drummer had left to pursue a lucrative screenwriting career.
