Earth to the Dandy Warhols

In honor of the second annual Record Store Day - April 18, 2009 - the Dandy Warhols are releasing a super-limited 4-song remix EP, Earth To The Remix EP, Volume Two. Last summer, to coincide with the release of their fifth full-length, the self-released Earth To The Dandy Warhols, the band remixed four of the album's tracks themselves and gave them out for free through independent retail outlets. The overwhelming fan response to the EP prompted the Warhols to put their talent to work again.

The music is hard to describe with words...the textures and the sounds are amazing. It makes my muscles spasm or pulsate or something. It's impossible for me to stay still when their playing. It also makes me want to move my head back and forth like the Night at the Roxbury brothers. haha.

A digital version of Earth To The Remix EP, Volume Two will be available on Tuesday, April 21.

Bit of news, bit of holiday music

Some news and some music.

U2 announced that they will release No Line on the Horizon - the band's latest studio effort on March 3, 2009. It's hard to believe that it has now been over four years since How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb came out.

The Academy Is... are streaming their new video for "Winter Passing."

From the amazingly underrated and brilliant band Moneen to date is news that the boy's will be heading into the studio next month with producer David Bottrill to begin work on their fourth studio effort (and first since 2006's The Red Tree). The new record will be recorded at the Rattlebox Studio in the band's hometown of Toronto.
