Forgive me for being all Don Corleone

There really isn't a place to post about political issues on my site. This is for a very good reason and mostly it is because it would only ever spark arguments and controvery.
Some things get me all riled up ya know. I get passionate about topics and being feisty is alright (hence the scrappy+tink=scrink), but I don't like when I get mean.
Regardless, there is a topic in international news that has me riled up and I do want to write about it, so I'm going to.
Timor Leste President Jose Ramos-Horta was shot and wounded Monday in the stomach by rebel gunmen in a predawn raid on his home in the capital Dili, but his wounds were classified as not "life threatening."
I get upset when anyone is hurt. It further upsets me in this story, because he was attacked at his home. How brazen are people getting if they become comfortable enough to attempt assassinations at the residence of a president?
The home of Timor-Leste Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao and his motorcade came under fire in apparently coordinated attacks.
To have two incidents planned like this I would imagine a leak somewhere. Now I hate being a conspiracy theorist and as much as I should be less gullible I don't often feel paranoid about things. I usually find the silver lining to everything. Here I don't. I have bad feelings about this and I don't think we have heard the end of this situation.
Not only do I think there is a leak, but I also think these events are happening for more than one reason. Somebody is helping someone else and they each have their own motives. Even if this means the happening in Australia are a decoy for things happening elsewhere, nearby, perhaps in China.
But what do I know.
