Daily Plate and a Big Arse
By Christy On Friday, April 11, 2008 At 3:22 PM
Brian and I started dieting recently. He is losing weight, his jeans are looser.
Me. I still feel like a fat whale cow. Yeah, I said it. WHALE COW. A FAT ONE.
Argh! I am so frustrated. My arse is out of control! It just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
I know your metabolism changes as you get older, but I'm only 27 shouldn't it change like ten years from now?
I sit at a desk all day and then sit at a sewing table a good part of the night. So I'm not getting exercise and I know that has a lot to do with it.
It is embarrassing. Since our wedding which was in November, I have gained like 20 lbs. I'm not kidding you. I didn't stop caring, I just am always hungry and Brian makes really good food. I can't stop eating! So I'm putting it all out there folks. I want to lose the 20 pounds and you can watch me. Er, well, see my "daily plate."
I decided to sign up at The Daily Plate and start charting what I'm eating and what activities I am partaking in which at this point I'm stretching it. All I have is walking into work and playing with the dog. Oy vey!
Anyway, if any of you would like to join me feel free. Here is a link to my profile, it's free unless you choose to be a gold member which I have not. I'm really going to try guys and I know things are easier when you do them with friends so anyone who wants to join please do and then add me as a friend, ok?

Oh I know this. I'm sorry you feel bad about yourself. That doesn't work. We've recently been doing Jillian Michael's workouts. They are 30 minutes - very intense, but awesome. I love it. I bought the book "Making the cut". I workout at home but I bet you could do them at the gym. I think it's about movement and stress. (Plus those meds put pounds on....)
((hug)) I think you're perfect.
PS. I read a study recently that said that the magic number is 5. Exercise 5 hours a week and you'll have the body you want.
Hi! I know I never comment, but I frequently read and I just wanted to say two things:
1. I think you are beautiful, truly! :)
2. and I found this really neat program that I've been trying out for about a week or so now. I don't know if you're into running at all, but Couch to 5k is actually kind of fun and seems like a good way to get into exercise. Just wanted to share since I like it so much.
Anyway, good luck with your goals! I know you can do it, you're one of the most determined and motivated people I know.
Claudia you are so sweet, thank you for the tips.
And Lauren, thank you for commenting. I'm glad you read it and I will look into the Couch to 5K.
I appreciate both of you!
