For my friends and my family

I love this man! Barack Obama RAWKS!

In just a few days, Americans will choose between the failed policies of the last eight years and the real change this country needs.

Watch the video of Barack's speech laying out the clear choice for change, then share it with your family and friends.

Barack Obama is offering Americans a clear choice between real change and more of the same policies that are failing our country.

Bail out plan, developed by a middle class mama

No longer playing Mum's the word in terms of the economic crisis crap I keep hearing about from every news outlet and practically everyone who speaks to me during the day.

Here is my brilliant plan.

This would be how I would bail out the sinking financial ship we call our home country.

The billions of dollars our government is pulling from the sky to give to banks should be given to them, yes, but not the way proposed. I think there should be a calculation. I think somehow they should find out the average amount of debt each middle class American has to their name. And then pay off the bills of each American up to that average debt. Yes. That would work.

How? Well, we would never actually hold the money in our hands. We wouldn't be taxed on it, no one would. We would have to fill out far too much paper work, preferably via environmentally friendly online forms. We would chart our debts, let the government know just how much we owe. They would then pay off our bills or at the very least put lump sums of payments towards our bills.

This way the banks would get their money, they'd get it with mortgage debts being paid off. No one would have to foreclose on their home. People would be able to start traveling and spending their money again and the economy would be boosted higher than ever before.

I'm really trying to figure out a reason why this wouldn't work. Whose to say in 25 years the same problem wouldn't happen again? Whose to say in 25 years we wouldn't all be thriving?

Perhaps some sort of business plan with restrictions would need to be in place and if you choose not to adhere to the plan than you won't qualify to participate. So, what restrictions then? Maybe it means you won't be able to sell your house that was just paid off, for I don't know another couple of years. Or maybe it would mean you would be limited for a few years on how much of a credit line you could ever be given. Yes, I think that would work. I would gladly sign up, even with restrictions in place.

*sigh*

Pipe dream, grandiose thoughts of a barely working middle class American mama...

The big businesses would whine. The credit companies would whine. The new construction contractors would whine. I guess it doesn't matter how many millions of people it would help, if it hurts the companies still holding onto their money all the way to the grave...

Minty Moo

You may or may not know I work for the University of Delaware. My title is Web Developer for the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources.

Work in Townsend Hall on campus means being VERY near the farm. When I walk in from my car in the morning I hear the wind tunnels in the greenhouse and I smell the sometimes freshly churned manure. The botanic gardens are right outside the door and on the other side of the building their are in the process of building a marsh land area.

The newest addition to the farm has been the UD Creamery. Ice cream is made with milk from the cows on the UD Dairy Farm and is processed with the help of Kilby Cream. This is a huge thing! This means ice cream on the premise all the time and there is talk of building an ice cream stand/shop in the future. Aw man am I in trouble.

This afternoon there was a special luncheon for Alumni and left over food was brought to the break room. I sniffed my way there but when I got there I saw lunch meet and salads which I opted not to dig into. Why? Because I'm a paranoid pregnant woman and that stuff had been sitting out. So what did I grab? A slice of bread.

Walking back to my office with my slice of bread the Associate Dean saw me nibbling. He laughed. He asked if I had any of the new (first batch) of UD ice cream.

I said I had not and he said, "Follow me." To which I responded pregnant women will follow persons promising ice cream without much arm twisting.

Moments later I'm back in my office after having two scoops of Minty Moo ice cream scooped for me. I must say, it is quite Moolicious!

Young and the Restless

You know what is great? The fact that CBS allows me to watch full episodes of Young & the Restless online. So while I'm working I can have the video running in the background and completely catch up on my favorite soap. It's perfect.

I do have to mention I agree with the comments on the episodes about how Eden's character must go. The girl portraying Eden is the worst actress I have ever seenand the story line is beyond lame! Send her back to drama school or give her a part that requires less on air time. =o) (Oh and her ear is too fat to pull off an ear cuff, but also those things are out of style and should not be brought back in)

While I miss Victor on the show as he is on hiatus, I do enjoy seeing Nick, Victoria and Nikki back together as a family trying to be all sly and mysterious in protecting him.

Stupid Digg Coment Replying Fools

It's true, even when I'm not pregnant I am overly emotional about things. So clearly right now is the wrong time for me to look back at my comments on Digg and read people's replies.

Who cares what people say about my comments? So what is I have been buried like 100 times? Why should it matter to me?

Oh but it does. The curse of being over sensitive is getting to me.

Essentially if you leave a comment on a story and it in anyway implies you have a heart, well then you're doomed to be berated and laughed at. I'm the kind of girl who would give up a swing for someone else at recess. The other diggers apparently are the bullies who would then push that kid out of the way so they can have a turn first.

Yeah, I said it. I don't like DIGG commenting bullies. Those cynical whiners out there who are so bitter and skeptical that they can't just appreciate when someone actually cares. I mean seriously, are you that miserable? Are you!?

So here I am, even devoting a post, so that I can now complain about something ridiculously trivial! WHY!

Oh well. It's Friday. It's fabulous Friday and I'm going to leave work early so I can get some things ready for Braeden's birthday party. That's a topic worth writing about for sure. Braeden is going to be 5 YEARS OLD! I still can't believe it. How fast the time has gone, quicker than a blink I'd say. My baby will be in kindergarten next year. He wants to learn to ride a bike without training wheels. He practices sounding out words and reading what he recognizes. Oh my heart, you'll be the apple of my eye until the day I die and even in the after life. I love you, Brae!
