Chopped

It has been six years since I last went to a salon and had my hair professionally cut. The last time I went I was pregnant with Braeden, it was the winter of 2003 and Braeden was born in the fall of 2003. So yes, it has been a long time coming and today I finally went.

Kristen H. at Town Salon in Bear, Delaware cut and styled my hair this morning. She cut 8 inches off! I told her I was feeling frumpy. I also told her I loved Rachel Ray's new haircut. She did what she clearly does very well and she totally made over my hair.

If you know me I don't really care about style. And I let my hair air dry, I would pull it back into a pony tail and there it would stay until the next time I washed it or needed to brush it.

Now, 8 inches shorter, my hair is above my shoulders but below my chin. It is layered and it is fresh, fun and slightly funky which is exactly the opposite of frumpy and exactly what I wanted.

Eventually I'll take a picture and share, but for now just know I finally did it.

Plus when I got home to the two boys of my life (for now) my husband and Braeden they both let me know they love the new cut. And Braeden immediately told me I look like Rachel Ray. While Brian let me know he thinks I look even hotter. =o)
