Christmas and New Years

Please check out the Christmas photos on Flickr.Brian, Braeden and I had a wonderful Christmas. Santa was good to all of us and I think I can vouch for all of us by saying it was a wonderful day all around. Braeden woke up at 7:30 a.m. which was later than I anticipated. He woke up Brian and we all went downstairs to see if anything was left under the tree.
Well there were so many fantastic gifts that they were all around the tree and spread throughout the family room. Braeden has been changing his mind about his favorite toy since Christmas morning and so I think he must have liked everything.
So far he has used his new kitchen more than anything else, and probably the pinball machine comes in second. He is quite the chef and has taken great strides in improving his high scores on the pinball machine.
Brian and his family and my family all bought me books! Lots of books. I have read through two of them already and am on a third now. I'm very excited, I love to read. Still working on getting more book shelves, it's not an easy battle when I'm addicted to buying books.
I also got several classic old movies, most with Doris Day in them as she is my favorite lady actress from the older days. I also got the original Nancy Drew series, four of the shows on discs, and very much enjoyed watching them.
We spent time at my grandparents house for a bit and then at Brian's parents house. I picked Braeden up from his fathers at 6 and so he was able to join in on the festivities at the Stephan Family Christmas chaos which was great.
After the hustle and bustle of Christmas it was nice to be able to relax a bit. And on New Year's Eve we stayed in to watch the ball drop. Brian's parents joined us and we ate yummy food from Season's Pizza. At midnight we toasted in the New Year with sparkling cider, even Braeden drank some.
All in all, things were nearly perfect! If only it had snowed. =o)

I think I still have several of my sister's original Nancy Drew books. I'd love to offer them to a loving home. Any interest? :D
I love that you ALL toasted with Sparkling Cider. Such a sweet family!
