Wednesday Braeden Update

As you know, Braeden came home from his father's house sick on Sunday evening. So Monday I did get him in for a doctor's appointment at 9:20 a.m. and the doctor he saw said it was a virus. I hate when they tell me it is a virus, because essentially it means aside for Motrin or Tylenol there is really nothing you can do.
This morning Braeden's fever that was nearly 103 degrees has finally broken and I was able to take him to day care, which means I was able to go to work.
He still isn't feeling 100% as he is still coughing, but hopefully he'll continue an upward climb. Though I foresee a sinus infection brewing as he is now looking a bit more congested in his nose. I'll keep an eye on that and make sure it stays clear.
The doctor ordered some lab work and I took him to Lab Corp Monday morning after his appointment. Hopefully I'll hear from her today about the results, if not, I'm calling the office. His IgA, IgG and IgM levels are being rechecked. Plus she decided to do a complete CBC and CPT. Another test she ordered was to check his tissue transglutiminase levels, this is to check for a risk of celiac disease.
Whatever it is that comes back from these results I have already decided to pay more attention to his daily food intake to see if something triggers negative reactions in his body. I'm also going to continue reading about supplements for children to see if there is anything I can give him which might help his immune system get stronger.
Aside for the Braeden update, I don't have much to add. I'm tired and feeling stressed, it's not easy seeing your kid feeling so sick. Bless his heart though he is a trooper.
