She thinks the time is right

The chalk board nail scratching begins, Jessica Simpson is preparing her first country album. Why!?

*shakes fist Lucy style*

At age 27, Jessica Simpson is veering from pop and going country. She is currently in Nashville working on a new album. I don't care how great she looked as Daisy, she's not country! And I swear if I see her in cowboy boots and hats I'm going to spew.

"I am a country girl," she told a magazine. "I grew up in Texas, and country music was what I listened to. I always wanted to wait until the time was right."

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is her latest beau which you should know if you watch football since they show her in the stands more than they show the game on the field. Perhaps her new love has prompted craziness, because she even claims she'll pen some of the songs on her own.

I suppose I should try to be more optimistic though. Maybe she'll be "pop country" like Shania Twain...

Mmm no, no, I just don't see it happening...well, maybe if they really over produce the sound...? I don't know, what do you think?
