Melinda and Jordin. Perhaps they will allow a tie this season.

But that's not what I want to talk about tonight in regards to the show. Tonight American Idol gave back. They have been visiting thrid world countries and also parts of our own country to see how they can make a difference in fighting poverty. Tonight 10 cents of each vote will go towards their cause; the final amount will be in the millions. This kind of good will is just amazing and I am so pleased to see it.

Money will be given to poverty stricken areas in both the United States and Africa. You can find out exactly where the money will be going by reading the information on the American Idol Gives Back website.

I made my donation and I hope you will make your own. It doesn't have to be much and certainly don't do it if it outside of your means, but if you can, you should.

It is about time that Sanjaya was booted off of American Idol. All of the looks and stlyes he tried to pull off made me sick. But if you want to talk about his singing than that is whole other story. Not to be rude but he was absolutely "horrendous" and he made my ears want to explode. I think that if he won this year there would be no point in ever watching the show again.
If I had to pick a girl to be the winner I would pick Jordin. For a 17 year older she has really shined more than most contestants. Simon even likes her so you know she is good. If I had to choose a boy winner it would definetly be Blake despite his being in the bottom three. Country is not his thing but next week during Idol Gives Back, you can count on him doing his own thing.
Simon intended no disrespect to Virginia Tech and the outrage that occured recently. Simon maybe a little rude but he was talking to Paula and had no idea that Chris was still talking. Next will be absolutely great.

    Horrendous.

Sometimes Simon is mean when he judges people, but tonight when he said Sanjaya was horrendous, well, I think he was putting it mildly. I cannot stand hearing that boy sing. I don't find him the slightest bit attractive. He doesn't dress well, there is no style about him whatsoever. SO WHAT IN THE WORLD is going on!?

Maybe it is all a conspiracy. Maybe the network wants to end the show so they put him on stage and are watching all their credibility wash down the drain.

My son loves to watch it. He loves Jordin. And so yes, tomorrow night we will stay up and see who gets voted out of the competition. If Sanjaya once again escapes the bottom three and remains in as a contestant..well..Brae just might have to watch the rest of the reason while Mommy reads with ear plugs in place.

The movie Happy Feet seemed like a kiddy movie. I am only 12 years old so a bunch of dancing penguins are not something I would really want to watch, but on the last day before Easter Vacation my teacher made the day easy. By the time I went back to homeroom for class the movie was about 20 minutes in. I thought the movie would be incredibly boring. It turns out I was wrong.

It is about a penguin named Mumbles who cannot sing like every other penguin in the world. Unlike all of the other penguins Mumbles has a gift of dancing. This is not normal for a penguin but his father dropped him when he was an egg. Everyone thinks that he is not a penguin because of the lack of his ability to sing. There is one girl on the other hand who thinks that he is unique and it does not matter that he cannot sing. Her name is Gloria.

When Mumbles is told that he cannot graduate the leader of the penguins thinks he is bad and when Mumbles ruins a party he is sent away. He faced a sea lion and landed on shore where there are four penguins who I thought made the movie so great. The always funny Robin Williams stars as Ramon the leader of the four. He also stars of Lovelace who is the guru of the island.

Humans keep taking all of the fish so the penguins have no food and begin to starve. Mumbles finds a cruise ship with a lot of fish and he follows it up to the shore of New York City. He is put in an aquarium and dances fr a little girl. Then hundreds of people see him dancing and apparently this is a big deal. The whole world finally knows about this. Mumbles goes back to the island where he was born and he gets everyone to dance in front of the so called "aliens" hoping that they will get the message to stop taking the fish from the animals that need it.

It is really good if you see the whole thing. It is especially good if you have a funny two year old niece watching it with you.

With only 8 left and one on the way out tonight, the American Idol competition is fiercely underway. Last night the contestants performed Latin themed songs after receiving coaching from Jennifer Lopez.

Aside for Blake, I thought they all stunk. I'm sorry, but even the girls who have brilliant voices (not Haley) just didn't have what it takes to sing the songs they picked. Next week everyone will need to step it up a notch. Blake did the best of all the performances, and even he could have done better. But he was the only singer who actually kept the beat of the song last night.

I had to cover my ears when Phil was singing "Maria, Maria." There were times in which his voice squealed so piercingly that I commented it sounded as though he had stepped on a pig's tail.

Haley should just put down the mic. The only thing she is good for is being runner-up in a swim suit competition.

Jordin, LaKisha and Melinda have amazing voices, but the Latin theme was not their cup of tea. I do hope they are in the last four along side Blake.

The judges must not have been paying attention when Chris sang, because they didn't think he did too bad. I thought he was terrible. I don't care how hot you think he looks, I think he's full of himself, not-so-hot and a terrible singer/performer.

Sanjaya. Oh lord. Do you know in his interview when they asked what his personal goals were in life his response was "To become witty." WHAT!? Is that!? I just, I have no patience for him or his presence on the show. In fact, I want to watch it less and less due to the fact that he remains.

Sylvester Stallone still packs a punch with the new and exciting Rocky Balboa movie. It is a great movie staring the fantastic Sylvester Stallone who stars as the American Hero from out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rocky Balboa. The old man shows his youthfulness by coming out from being a retired legend and he shows the new school that they can't hang with the old school. His son doesn't think his dad should do it but Rocky whooped the competition and made his only son respect him just a little more. It is very good and I bought it on DVD the very first day. If I had the time I would include this movie into my everyday life. It also teaches a lesson that you should never give up no matter the circumstances. Everyone I know was motivated to go the distance when they saw this awesome movie.

    Really quickly...

If you are looking for an uplifting and motivating movie to watch, I highly recommend buying or renting "The Pursuit of Happyness" it is absolutely amazing!

Secondly, there has been a tragic event overseas due to a tsunami that has wiped out entire villages on the Solomon Islands and left hundreds of people missing. Reports are stating that an earthquake of magnitude 8 is what caused the tsunami. I know that the Red Cross has begun their relief efforts already, I just ask that if you can help in anyway, please do. Even if your only means of helping is prayer. =o)
