We already knew it, but now the news has officially been confirmed. Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony are expecting their first child.
Designer Roberto Cavalli has confirmed that Jennifer Lopez is indeed pregnant. When asked who he is designing for, he responded: "Well Jennifer Lopez, as this moment, she requests something very special because she is waiting for the baby."
Cavalli designed multiple loose-fitting and flowing outfits for the 38-year-old singer, who is on tour with husband Marc Anthony.
It's an exciting time. As a Mom I know how special carrying a babe can be and I certainly hope she is doing well and that she and the baby are healthy.
When thinking about this time of year and different movies that make it extra special I always fall back on the movies from my past. They aren't all the typical "Halloween" movie but for one reason or another they get me in the spirit.
You know those movies where you just want to put on your sweatshirt and cozy pajama pants, curl up on the couch underneath a warm blanket and reminisce about the good 'ol days... Don't tell me you don't crack up at the thought of Data and his "pinchers of peril" hahahaha!
"This is my supply closet. You'll find everything you need - brooms, dust pans, insect spray... I would really like the house clean when they tear it down. Clarke, can you translate?"
-Irene Walsh
"If you do a bad job you'll be locked in here with the cockroaches for two weeks without food or water."
-Mouth (Clarke)
And of course Gremlins is a classic. I love that movie and it can be watched all year long but I find myself wanting to watch it around Halloween and Christmas.
"The most important rule of all, no matter how much he cries, no matter how much he begs, never, NEVER feed him after midnight."
Tell me which movies get you in a certain fun spirit?
This coming saturday is my brother's 24th birthday. It also happens to be a "Get Away" event in St. Augustine, Florida. The last Saturday of each month there are special St. Augustine events in the Uptown San Marco Shopping District.
Galleries, antique stores and unique shops between Ripley's Museum and the Mission of Nobre de Dios remain open during this special time. Or perhaps you have reason to celebrate with your loved one...St. George Street is quite romantic and charming for such occassions.
When you enter the city you will find it is more than just a place to visit. It truly is a get-away from every day life. You'll find old preserved houses, cobble streets and vendors dressed in clothes from the 1700s. It's like taking a step back in time and wandering an old European city...but you're in Florida. Truth be told, St. Augustine was the first permanent European settlement in America.
My brother would actually love this area as he is into art and paintings. Hopefully some day he will get the chance to see The Lightner Museum, and check out the stunning Spanish Renaissance architecture of Flagler College.
After reading about all the amazing things St. Augustine has to offer I actually think that Brian and I should put it on the list of places we'd like to visit. This could end up being a great place for our honeymoon. ;o)
Admittedly this story has me cracking up. Movie star and singer Jennifer Lopez is arguing with Spiegel Limousine Corporation over a $16,000 bill she received. Actually, she is being billed for more than $16,000 in limousine charges for services rendered during the July premiere of her Spanish-language movie "El Cantante."
Apparently the disagreement with Spiegel was in regards to how much is owed for time when the cars had to wait for passengers.
Jennifer Lopez's husband Marc Anthony has hinted that his wife is pregnant with their first child while performing with her over the weekend.
According to People magazine, Anthony dedicated his performance of the song 'Faithfully' to his wife.
He said of the track: "It's a real personal song. This song has a whole new significance."
Anthony later got a loud cheer when he sang the lyrics: "They say that the road ain't no place to start a family".
Maybe money is tight now that the couple is expecting but y'all still gotta pay your bills...I'd say you have had enough time to do so since you received it in July. Good grief!
Somewhere someone had quite the laugh when they put up the movies showing in their theater. One of those teenage popcorn shuffling assistant managers got a little ornery.
I must say it was well thought out and I would have had to give the person a high five. Though I'm sure the uptight public who got offended probably caused a stink. And for that reason I am posting the photo so the fun can live on!
According to New York Post's page six, Holly Madison, has a new job at Playboy. She is now the magazine's junior photo editor and is looking to shake things up.
"I think readers are sick of seeing the same cookie-cutter blondes," the silicon-enhanced beauty told Page Six. "I'm looking for natural bodies. I pay attention to what readers write in - and they do like to see diversity."
Hmmm, I hate to say it but I think she knows what she's talking about even though she is one of the cookie-cutter blondes...
George Clooney will have to hand Michelle Pfeiffer $100,000 if he ever remarries, after the pair raised the stakes.
Somehow I don't think anyone should be concerned about this...I mean $100,000 is nothing to George Clooney. And I think if any woman could actually snag the big aisle walk down commitment, he'll be spending far more than that on the wedding anyway. What's another $100K to Michelle Pfeiffer?
Clooney said Nicole Kidman has also made a bet with him that he would end up remarrying and having kids someday.
Anyway, I am sure both ladies would probably give him a pretty great wedding present anyway.
At 46, he still has plenty of time to settle down. George Clooney just keeps looking better and better if you ask me. I remember his days as having guest star appearances on "Roseanne" as her sister's boyfriend "Booker."
Former Malcolm In The Middle star Frankie Muniz is fuming that Lindsay Lohan is returning from rehab a bigger star than before. The actor, 21, insists it's not fair Lohan's two month spell in Utah's Cirque Lodge will land her more film roles.
Frankie, I think you might be a little bit jealous...because, well, she's a far better actor(ess) than you.
However, I do believe this stint in rehab and all the commotion has definitely put her into the spotlight. I doubt she'll be in anymore Freaky Friday or Parent Trap movies, but I do believe she'll remain chatter worthy and therefore land more roles.
In other entertainment gossip news, did you hear...? Jason Wahler has blamed reality show "The Hills" for heightening his alcohol problems. The 20-year-old checked into rehab in May after a string of booze-related arrests. He explains, "I definitely think being on The Hills influenced my problems. You go out in L.A. and club owners and promoters want people on TV to party at their clubs. They throw bottles at you. It was 100% part of the problem."
I only have one question for you Jason, how can anything be 100% "part" of the problem? Hmm?
And you know Jason, you're old enough to know better. So own up to your issues, stop pointing fingers and get yourself some help.
The Golden Compass is a forthcoming film based upon Northern Lights (titled The Golden Compass in the US), the first novel in Philip Pullman's trilogy His Dark Materials, slated for release on December 7, 2007 by New Line Cinema.
Nicole Kidman is one of the stars in the movie so I'll definitely have to watch it. Plus Toby has been raving about this book ever since I met him!
Red Hot Chili Pepper front man Anthony Kiedis, 44, and his girlfriend, model Heather Christie, 22, welcomed a boy this morning. Perez Hilton reports the baby boy was born in a Los Angeles Hospital.
This is the first child for the couple.
Anyone know the name yet? And are mama and baby healthy?
America's Next Top Model contestants were led to their new vehicle on the show, a mini-bus that's a 100% BioDiesel.
Mr. Jay informs us that Tyra wants to call attention to "the environment" and that "Top Model is going green". Sweet.
One of the super skinny "model wannabes" Mila says it's really important to be aware "what keeps our Earth good". Another one of the girls says she thinks the seats are made out of "recycled tires or something".
Oh Lord.
If a show about super skinny girls who intentionally want to flaunt their bodies can single-handedly prevent New York from flooding and India from having hail and polar bears from losing their home, well then so be it.
No no, I shouldn't be like that, I should be glad that Tyra Banks is having the show "go green" I just wish these stick girls with their pretty faces would read a book every once in awhile. Models are beautiful, but don't you think we should make sure the girls we put on shows like this also have a brain!
