When I was in 7th grade I saw the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. The performance and experience is something I will never forget. Ever since that moment I have been in awe of Broadway shows and the actors involved. Seeing something like that live and in person is something everyone should try to do at some point in their life. It is surreal.

It would be amazing to see Wicked on Broadway though I don't believe they are still performing there although you can still search for tickets and find shows in New York. Click here for Wicked Broadway Tickets if you are interested.

When I think about going to a show I always think about how Braeden will react since I hate doing things without him. Brian would probably be okay seeing anything, he enjoys non-fiction related things but he also has an eye and mind for fantasy from time to time. It might be fun to see The Lion King on Broadway as a family. But I', not sure how easy it would be to swing Lion King Broadway Tickets.

Any of you who haven't been to a show like this should think about planning a weekend trip, because whether you see Wicked or The Lion King the entire experience is one that shouldn't be missed. You can click here for Broadway theater tickets. If you have children you should look for a family showing because they will be amazed, too. I'm telling you the work that goes into these shows is incredible.

I seriously didn't think at the age of 12 I would enjoy a Broadway show, certainly not Phantom of the Opera, but I really did. Actually we all did, it was a class trip. We were mesmerized by the effects, the singing and the incredible acting. If Phantom of the Opera isn't your thing you can look for tickets to see Hairspray, Mamma Mia, Grease or even Monty Python's Spamalot. =o) Make sure to look at ticko.com because they always have premium seats left which you might not be able to get elsewhere. Sometimes the tickets are pricey, but it really is worth a splurge to be closer to the action.

Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend Camila Alves are going to be parents! In regards to the news, McConaughey says, "Got some blessed news ... a celebration of life and a bounty .. a newborn conceived ... yes, my girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together ... it's 3 months growin' in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far ... we are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God.." Awww how sweet is he!? Precious.

It's not always about celebrating celebrity babies...sometimes in the entertainment world you receive bad news. What became of the former child star who played a HUGE role in the 1994 movie "The Client"?

Brad Renfro, age 25, was found dead yesterday in his California home by his girlfriend. Foul play is not suspected; Renfro was an admitted heroin and methadone addict. Very sad.

And of course the gossip mills are still going on about Britney Spears. It is so ridiculous, it even gets reported when she is spotted leaving a grocery store with her new boyfriend. Good grief people, let the girl buy her milk and eggs! She will be on the latest cover of OK! magazine this week so be sure to scoop the issue up for some (hopefully) positive news on Brit.

John Mayer tells sports people not to mess with his ex Jessica Simpson. He wrote an entry on his personal blog defending her after recent attacks from Dallas fans that she has been nothing but bad luck since she and Tony Romo started dating. News flash...maybe his head isn't in the game because he is a BAD football player! Let's not give Jessica too much credit here, mmkay!

And after 12 years on stage, raking in over $280 million, the Broadway play "Rent" will be closing the curtain on June 1st of this year.

Plus American Idol began running some of their auditions on air last night. Turns out someone from Smryna, Delaware made the cut and went onto California so I'm interested in checking it out. Hopefully there won't be a Sanjaya to make a mockery of this year's season.
