Narrator: Inside every one us, there exists a dark side. Most people rise above it, but some are consumed by it. Until there is nothing left, but pure evil.
Halloween (the original one) is the only horror movie I sometimes can't sit through and watch until the end. It's just too real and possible to me. The idea of some psycho following a girl around. I mean you only have to be 12 to be allowed to stay home alone and/or babysit. So the idea that someone could be watching or something, well it totally freaks me out. Especially since a lot of the children I babysat when I was younger lived out in the middle of nowhere. Anyway.
Rob Zombie did a remake of Halloween the movie and it is coming out on August 31st. I really think I'm going to have to see this one and force myself to stay seated. Or well, at least only jump 4 feet out of my seat when needed. My only concern is that the original Halloween didn't need a bunch of crazy special effects, it was just a terrifying movie. I hope this remake doesn't get to "FX crazy."
Any movie with an evil child is creepy. Add some eerie music (which Rob Zombie is sure to excel at) and you've got yourself a sure fire way of scary the bejeebies out of me! Yet still, I love the holiday of Halloween and I start a marathon of scary movie watching in late September. Since this movie comes out in August my guess is it will be in stores on DVD buy October 31st...Halloween...woo-ha-ha-ha!
The trailer is definitely enticing. It does look like special effects come more into play, it's so weird to see the trailer without hearing the original theme music. Plus this we have Danielle Harris back for the third time which is pretty cool. We'll see how it goes, I know a lot of people are really psyched and I am one of them!
