Justin Timberlake and rapper Lupe Fiasco have been recruited by pop singer Kenna to climb Mount Kilimanjaro this autumn in a bid to raise money for charity.
The trio will be joined by a team of adventurers assembled by Ethiopian-born Kenna as they scale the 19,000-foot African peak as part of a fundraising and awareness effort for the worldwide water crisis. The mammoth climb will serve as a personal triumph for Kenna, who almost lost his father to the water shortage.
He tells Elle magazine, "My dad almost died as a child from waterborne diseases in Ethiopia, and he had talked to me about digging a well there, and I thought, 'I have too many friends who would be concerned with the subject of clean water. Maybe I can help out.'"

Quite possibly Hollywood's newest vegan couple, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi will be honored for their efforts to improve care for animals at the Humane Society's Genesis Awards next month.
The Wyler Award, named after the late Genesis Award founder, Gretchen Wyler, is given to celebrities or other public figures who have made the most noise in standing up for the better treatment of animals.
Looks like they've made the right choice. Where do we start?
Portia and Ellen both became vegans this year, saying no to every animal product, whether flesh or a byproduct. They both were active in getting the word out on Prop 2, the measure which passed in California to allow certain farm animals to move around freely.
They even share their lifestyle with people who are fortunate enough to be in their presence. The wedding reception menu was completely vegan. Ellen has given out vegan items quite a few times on her television show.

You know me, I can't resist celebrity baby talk. And this news makes me gleeful! Oh yes, I said gleeful. The rumorville has been busy calling out baby bumps, but this time they were right. Nicole Kidman is pregnant!
The news was confirmed yesterday by Kidman's publicist, Catherine Olim. It was also posted on Keith Urban's site.
I had thought they were planning on waiting, but we all know the best of plans sometimes change. Reports state that the couple are thrilled! They have been married, happily but with trials and tribulations, since June of 2006.
She was due to start filming for Stephen Daldry's post-World War II drama, "The Reader," but since finding out she is pregnant she has dropped out of the movie. I think that is best honestly, she and her husband should enjoy this time together with as little extra chaos you know...? Who wants to be a leading actress in a war movie when they're pregnant!? Good move Nicole!
I'm excited for them and I hope all goes well. I know she has had trouble in the past so I'll send up well wishes and prayers. =o)
