It's that time of year again when writing about amusement parks and beaches will happen because I'm in desperate need of a vacation and relaxation. And last year I found out about Morey's Piers in New Jersey. Granted I never thought of New Jersey as a hot spot, but there is a lot offered for families and so it quickly became a vacation stop MUST.
Wildwood vacations hold the promise of fun for any family of music lovers which mine is. There are concerts galore on the piers thanks to Radio Disney. Beginning Monday, June 29, Morey's Piers will host weekly live concerts featuring up and coming stars. Every Monday through August 31, guests can catch a free concert on Mariner's Landing pier. Concerts are at 1 pm and 4 pm, with an artist meet and greet following each performance.
On top of the concerts, Morey's Piers has three huge amusement piers and two waterparks.
Planning your
Jersey Shore beach vacation is easy peasy, too. You find a place to stay and don't have to worry about the cost of entertainment because the concerts are free. So for those of you who can't afford a lavish vacation cruise or safari you don't need to fret, this is a vacation hot spot for those on a budget.
Wildwood offers free fireworks every Friday from June 26 to September 4th on the beach at Pine Avenue, Wildwood. Summer fireworks extravaganza. 10:30 p.m. There are tons of entertainment freebies offered you just have to get out there and live it up!

As it happens we're having a wash out of a weekend here in Delaware because of the hurricane remnants dousing the state with 5 inches of rain.
Looking into how to remedy a damper like that I came across Morey's Piers because they specifically offer week day specials like their "
Magical Mondays" and "Tues DAY Time Special" which gives you the chance for All-You-Can-Ride wristbands at only $20. One of these days I'll have to play hooky from work and take Braeden up there for a fun time.
We had such a great time during our vacation over the summer, it makes me wonder if taking a few days or a long weekend in the fall would be a good idea. I mean there would be less people, better prices and still would be a fun
family beach vacation, right?
Oh and if you check out
wildwood hotels motels make sure to do a search and find the area where BIG was filmed. You'll be able to get a ticket from that super cool Zoltar machine, remember?
It's definitely like walking through the past when you enter Wildwood. Make your plans now!
