Keira Knightley will never sign up to popular websites like Twitter or Facebook because she is convinced the social networking forums are "dehumanizing" users.

She says, "I hate the internet. I find it dehumanizing to constantly check emails or social sites which have become so fashionable. I'm not a celebrity. I don't go home or out with friends saying, 'I'm a celebrity' and I don't ask to be treated like a queen. Mom and dad wouldn't like that."

Sienna Miller often fancies searching the internet for stories about herself.

The actress relies on good pal Keira Knightley, 24, to stop her.

'If there's that awful temptation to Google yourself, she'll phone up and go: "I'm thinking about Googling",' explains Sienna.

'I'll say: "I am too!" And we;ll talk each other out of it.;

"Desperate Housewives" actress Nicollette Sheridan tells TV Guide Magazine that killing off her character, Edie Britt, could have "devastating ramifications" for the show.

She tells the publication of her character's relationship with the show's creator Marc Cherry, "I think whoever Edie represented in Marc's life was somebody he didn't like. And he had a very difficult time distinguishing between fact and fiction."

Nicollette says, for her, "Desperate Housewives" started to change. "When the show started it was such a different beast. It was exciting and dangerous and funny and edgy and bizarre. It started feeling a little complacent, and that was very frustrating."

Nancy Davis is getting Hollywood heavies to join her in the "Race to Erase MS" and they need all the help they can get.

Right now, products like signature nail polish ($8) Eco tote bags ($12) and Tommy Hilfiger T-Shirts ($25) are selling on the EraseMS web site (www.erasems.org) -- where proceeds benefit the campaign, which funds a network of the nation's top MS research centers called the Center Without Walls program.

But it seems that Barney is still not keen on completely stepping it up just yet. While Barney already marveled on how much he misses Robin when she's not around, thinks about her all the time, and imagines the two of them running towards each other in slow motion, his friendship with his best friend Ted (Robin's ex) remains his main concern, along with evading the risk of being rejected by the love of his life.

One would think the upside of a new Depression would be a return to 1930s Art Deco glamour. But the Rainbow Room, which opened in 1934, is closing its famed New York restaurant.

The Cipriani family, the restaurateurs famed for starting Harry's Bar in Venice and who have run the Rainbow Grill since 1998, is shuttering the Rockefeller Center highrise establishment's doors, citing tough times and a dispute with the Rainbow Room's landlord. (The bar and ballroom are staying open.) That's the official reason; family scion Giuseppe Cipriani's overseas trip, conveniently timed to dodge an investigation by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo into how his restaurants kept their liquor license, isn't mentioned. It's a shame: If there's a time New York City needed a civic institution like the Rainbow Room, it's surely now - as much as it was called for 74 years ago.

The Daily Mail reports that little Lourdes Leon has enrolled in the Manhattan's Professional Children's School.

We saw that one coming!

The school counts Macaulay Culkin, Scarlett Johansson and Sarah Jessica Parker as alums.

A snitch reveals to the paper that the girl is desperate to become an actress and, "She is determined to prove herself and plans to throw herself into studying the technique."

Nicolette Sheridan and David Spade sipping martinis and having dinner together at Tao in Las Vegas on Saturday night, sources tell us. How does he do it?

A day after the death of his son, Jett, John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston remain in shock, a friend of the family tells PEOPLE.

"He never dreamed of this - their relationship was so close," says family attorney Mike Ossi, who is in the Bahamas with the actor. "He always said 'I'm happy as long as my kids are happy.' He is heartbroken ... To bury your son is the worst thing you can ever do."

According to Ossi, 16-year-old Jett was discovered by a nanny on Friday morning around 10 a.m. After the nanny called 911, John Travolta tried in vain to resuscitate his son.

"He didn't want anything to happen to that boy, and he kept on trying to revive him," said Ossi. "He did mouth-to-mouth until they had to physically remove John to take Jett to the hospital."

The teen, who is the only son of Travolta, 54, and Preston, 46, has a history of having seizures. Police spokeswoman Loretta Mackey told the Associated Press that Jett hit his head in a bathtub Friday morning and was declared dead at Rand Memorial Hospital.

Tragic to say the least.

Actress, mother, greeniac...designer?

Julia Roberts has signed up to help raise money for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria by designing a T-shirt for Giorgio Armani's (RED) label.

The Global Fund was started by Bono and Bobby Shriver in 2006 and has already received over $110 million from RED-brand apparel and events.

Julia's design simply has the words, "revolution. evolution. devotion" arched over a tree of life that Roberts' herself created.

Pop star Pink would rather adopt a child than give birth - because there are too many people in the world already.

The singer, real name Alecia Moore, and first-husband Carey Hart split in February. The Trouble hit-maker insists she hasn't given up hope of having a family - but would rather "rescue" a child through adoption than have one of her own.

She tells Star Magazine: "I don't know if I need to have my own (children). I rescue dogs, so I would probably rescue kids. I feel like with global warming and all, why produce more? Foster parent. Adoption."

Hmm, well as long she she thinks rescuing a dog is comparable to adopting a child than I say, "KEEP HER AWAY FROM THE CHILDREN!"

Saturday Night Live alum David Spade, 45, is now on diaper duty! Jillian Grace, 22, delivered a baby girl in Missouri on August 26, the actor's rep confirmed to Usmagazine.com today. Her name has not yet been released.

Well, that was fast! Desperate Housewives vixen Nicolette Sheridan and Michael Bolton "amicably ended their engagement" only a week ago, after spending eight years of their life together.

'In East Hampton, I'm a nudist and I eat meat," Baldwin - a vegetarian - had said before my visit, expanding on the idea that he lived a quite different life on Long Island than he did in New York. Baldwin was wearing sandals; his shirt was untucked. There was nobody else at home.

Word on the street says Nicolette Sheridan and fiance Michael Bolton are expecting their first child together.

She always looks like she is glowing to me, I think she has radiant hair. But perhaps the glow right now is from a little one. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but who knows. She is 44 years old which would probably make her a higher risk pregnancy, but who's to halt the miracle of life, right?

Michael Bolton is 53 years old and has three daughters from a previous marriage.

I must say I don't watch Desperate Housewives but I would be curious to see if they work this into the script for her character. Though it would also be amusing to see how well they hide it.
