Most importantly in entertainment news today is the inauguration of our 44th President, Barack Obama!

To celebrate the historical moment of Obama's official inauguration, LightInTheBox has launched a special feature on Obama fashion and life-style. On January 20th 2009, Barack Obama will be the first African American to become the president of the United States. It will also be the most expensive inauguration to date, says Yahoo! News. The special feature will primarily be about the Obamas' fashion sense, as well as Barack Obama's commitment to being a healthy president.

I'm so disgusted by Madonna's most recent photographs and now her new album cover. I just had to tell you that, but nothing more will be said.

Britney is now having to rename one of her singles from her latest album, Circus. The song is called If You Seek Amy.

One of the lines in the song goes, "All the boys and the girls are begging to If You Seek Amy."

After realizing the real meaning of the song, several US radio stations have threatened to ban the single.

So, in an attempt to secure radio play for the song, Britney's camp has decided to change it up. But, rather than re-write the lyrics they've opted to only drop the "k" from seek.

It will now be called If You See Amy.

Stupid people. Why can you have a song all over the radio sung by a girl about kissing a girl and yet you're forcing Britney Spears to change the name of a song simply because of its suggestions. Stupid.

Last night, Michelle Obama and Jill Biden hosted the Disney Channel special "Kids' Inaugural: We Are the Future," and Disney's biggest stars came out to perform and rally America's youth on the eve of inauguration.

The night's opening act was "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus, who performed a song in a patriotic long red dress. The star returned to the stage for two more songs and greeted a special fan, Malia Obama, when she went into the crowd and grabbed the young girl's hand.

Paris Hilton sounded off to Fabulous Magazine about everything from chocolate to the color pink, and of course, that other super-important issue, who she'd pick as her "dream" best friend. Not surprisingly, the heiress chose Angelina Jolie because:

"She's strong but gorgeous and uses her fame for good to make a big difference in the world. That's a great quality. I'd have a lot in common with her."

    Uh. No.

Alan Cumming, Eliza Dushku, Roman Diaz, Ralph Macchio and others were on hand to honor Ewan McGregor at the 2009 Ray-Ban Visionary Award in Park City, Utah, at ASCAP Music Cafe.

McGregor who has not returned to Sundance since 1996 when his breakthrough roll in Trainspotting premiered at the festival expressed, how "great it is to see how many people are able to support film and that filmmaking is a worldly platform for Ray-Ban to show its support means a lot to the industry."

Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault grabbed a late night dinner at Bouley in NYC yesterday. Earlier in the evening Salma stopped by the National Board of Review Awards as the next stop on her award season circuit. While we wouldn't mind getting a few details about Salma's relationship status with her maybe fiance, for now we'll settle for watching her relationship with Alec Baldwin on 30 Rock.

    Oprah smoked crack?

Her ex-lover (and yes, it's a guy) reveals to the National Enquirer that Momma O smoked some crack cocaine with him in the past.

Oprah herself has confessed in the past that she briefly used cocaine back in the 70s, though she blamed it on her "desperate obsession" with an ex who was a drug user. However, Randolph Cook says Winfrey was using drugs and smoking crack back in the 80s!

Well, I think she would have been thinner in the 80s had that been in the case. And I also think any sources would have been able to go to media more legit than the National Enquirer if there were any validity to this story.

Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis reveal they are finally getting married! The couple who have been together for 10 years and have two children together are planning to tie the knot in a chapel on the grounds of their $1.25 million French estate in late April.

While I'm happy for them I will also tell you I am insanely jealous!

According to the Associated Press the Presidential Inaugural Committee hopes to keep the song selection a mystery.

Warner to open superhero film March 6 -- Warner Bros. and Fox have settled their very public battle over "Watchmen." A deal has been hammered out that that gives WB some face-saving points, but which gives Fox the equivalent of a movie star’s gross participation.

It's a new adventure -- in fatherhood -- for "Man vs. Wild" star Bear Grylls.

Bear and his wife Shara welcomed a baby boy, Huckleberry Edward Jocelyne Grylls, on Thursday, says People.com. Huckleberry weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and is the couple’s third child, says the mag.

This morning two entertaining tidbits will be based on my opinion/bias and so chuckle or nod your head if you will.

    1. It took 15 years, but the Philadelphia Phillies are heading to the World Series. My Grandpa is absolutely thrilled about this and I am sure all Philly fans are ecstatic. Maybe you even popped the champagne after the first at bat with Jimmy Rollins and his home fun start of the night. The 5-1 victory over the Dodgers means the 6th World Series trip for the Phillies!

    2. The final presidential debate. So maybe McCain wasn't talking about nailing jello to a wall this time, which you have to admit was hilarious. But he did of course bring up the Ayars thing AGAIN. I love how cool and calm Obama was when he reminded McCain and the audience that he was only 8 years old during the time of that scandal. Lol. Sorry McCain you got your mudslinging jabs in but on November 4th it will be Obama going for the TKO!

Now onto some entertaining news from Hollywood...

Things just got worse for Christie Brinkley's philandering husband, Peter Cook. According to Page Six, Peter made a sex tape with his former mistress, a 19 year old townie named Diana Bianchi, and those tapes landed in the wrong hands.

    *~*~*

Here's Christina Aguilera's new look. Hot or Not? She looks like the Poltergeist girl mixed with a Rocky Horror Picture show cast member and a dash of Cyndi Lauper. All I know is I liked the red lipstick better if she's going to have it painted on so vividly.

    *~*~*

Tea Leoni and David Duchovny are splitsville. =o( "In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months. The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children."

    *~*~*

Lynne Spears thinks you want to see a movie based on her new memoir, Through The Storm.

    We're sure Britney is pleased!

In case you hadn't heard it a million times, Britney's mom wrote a "tell-all" book recounting Britney's problems with alcohol, drugs and teenage sex.

She left out the part about a pushy, money-grubbing mother.

Apparently, Lynne's been shopping her idea around, and she even has her eyes set on Scary Movie's Anna Faris to play BritBrit.

    And who will play Lynne?

Lynne wants Julia Roberts to portray her! ROFL!

In case you wanted to know what Jessica Simpson has to say about her sister Ashlee and Ashlee's new husband Pete Wentz. We all knew she was pregnant and now that it has been confirmed, Jessica has spoken to the folks at People.com.

"She'll be amazing, absolutely amazing," Jessica Simpson, 27, told PEOPLE in Las Vegas Saturday at the grand opening of Palms Place.

"They're just the cutest couple in the world," she says. "They are adorable. Anybody would wish to be them and you can only wish them well. Just being around them inspires love and everything I sing about."

There you have it. If the music goes down depression lane we'll know why.

Ted Kennedy will undergo brain surgery this morning. The Senator himself has released the following statement:

"I am deeply grateful to the people of Massachusetts and to my friends, colleagues and so many others across the country and around the world who have expressed their support and good wishes as I tackle this new and unexpected health challenge. I am humbled by the outpouring and am strengthened by your prayers and kindness. Over the past several days, VICKI and I, along with my outstanding team of doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital, have consulted with experts from around the country and have decided that the best course of action for my brain tumor is targeted surgery followed by chemotherapy and radiation. This morning, I will be undergoing surgery with DR. ALLEN FRIEDMAN at Duke University Medical Center and expect to remain there to recuperate for approximately one week. Shortly thereafter, I will start radiation treatments at Massachusetts General Hospital and begin chemotherapy. After completing treatment, I look forward to returning to the United States Senate and to doing everything I can to help elect BARACK OBAMA as our next president."

Wow. I wonder what Barack will be saying in response to this fantastic endoresment.

Lindsay Lohan has apparently passed on an offer by OK! magazine to say she's gay. Insiders told Page Six that Lohan and OK! are in talks to do a cover where Lohan "comes out" about her relationship with gal pal Samantha Ronson, and the mag has offered her "around $1 million to do the cover." Now I have to think she's AGAIN just doing this for the money and the publicity.

The couple have a son, Oscar, who was born in November 2006. Anderson also has a 13-year-old daughter, Piper, from a previous marriage.
