Michael Jackson passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009. It was confirmed by the LA Times. He was 50 years old and was rushed to the hospital today after suffering a heart attack at his LA home.

"All those who knew him well really know what he was like, and I'm sure that now the accolades are going and I'm sure when the autopsy comes, all hell's going to break loose. So thank God we're celebrating him now."

- Liza Minnelli told the CBS Early Show on Friday, about her good friend Michael Jackson

Jackson's autopsy has been inconclusive thus far; it will take six to eight weeks to determine the official cause of death, pending toxicology reports.

Though the story that Chris Brown may have assaulted Rihanna over the weekend is dispiriting enough, in Hollywood, things can always get worse. Now, news is breaking about a new allegation.

Now, though, TMZ is reporting that an investigation is ongoing to charge Brown with assault with a deadly weapon-though the weapon in question is unknown.

Rihanna went to Cedars Sinai sporting facial bruises, while Brown fled the scene, only to eventually turn himself in (under the charge of making "criminal threats") before posting bail.

I have a new found respect for Rihanna since I found out her compassion in helping patients with leukemia, so this is even more upsetting.

Kate Hudson has rekindled her romance with ex Owen Wilson, it has been claimed.

The actress - who is divorced from Black Crowes rocker Chris Robinson - has dated the Marley & Me actor on and off since 2006.

And rumors the pair are back together are now rife - after Kate was seen visiting Owen's Malibu home several times in the past two weeks.

I say doubtful, the two are just good friends, but we'll see.

I'm sure you've already heard all the Grammy news. I'm not going to rehash, but I did want to mention one winner in particular.

The former Vice-President became only the 9th person in history to sweep all four major entertainment categories - Oscar, Tony, Emmy, and Grammy - by claiming a Grammy last night for Best Spoken Word Album for the audio book of An Inconvenient Truth.

The Award comes with a $250,000 donation for an environmental foundation or film project.

Neil Patrick Harris handled his laptop with care as he made his way through security at LAX on Sunday. He was headed to New York, where he'll be rehearsing all week for his very first time hosting Saturday Night Live. While we may have to wait for new episodes of How I Met Your Mother, we already have a great feeling about his SNL kick off.

From the lovely blog os Perez Hilton, Jimmy Fallon is taking over for Conan O'Brien next year on Late Night, when the ginger-haired comedian replaces Jay Leno on The Tonight Show.

The Saturday Night Live alum should easily appeal to the college dudes that watch O'Brien, but...

Will he bring in new viewers????

    Unlikely!

Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson: Engaged??? Apparently she has a huge new rock on her finger. A source says, "He picked out the ring and went for the biggest one he could find. He was nervous about proposing but Kate was thrilled and the whole thing was really emotional." Hmmm, I don't think so guys. Hudson is filming a movie about brides or weddings or something, it's probably just costume jewelry.

Oh come on, if Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie really did get married do you honestly thing the Star magazine would be the first to get the scoop? Get over it, they're in love, they're happy, they are a family but they are NOT legally married!

And really? New Orleans? Do you think they'd get married there? NO!

So stop e-mailing me about it! UPDATE: 03/31/08 now people have me wondering. Perhaps they did get hitched. Lots of talk about a yacht wedding. I just don't see how it would be possible for no one to know about it until after...

Now, onto true news and a celebrity quote.

Kate Hudson freely admits to having unconventional taste in men. "I don't have crushes on cute guys. I have really bizarre taste in men," she tells the latest issue of UK Elle. "You know what the common ground is? Brains. Like witty and funny. I always love writers." But, Hudson says, her son, Ryder, is her "little man. He's the love of my life right now.
