Movie extras unite

There are a lot of films which have been shot in Philadelphia and have looked beautiful. Likewise there have been several shot in scenic areas of Maryland. My point is that it would have been awesome to have a chance at being an extra in one of those flicks. I mean all of M. Night Shyamalan's movies have been filmed nearby Delaware and even if you just saw the back of me I think I would have felt like a flippin' star!

But how are you to know when extras are needed? I mean, how is someone like me supposed to know where to show up and end up getting snagged for such a fun opportunity? Movie Extras get paid between $100 and $300 per day, depending on the project..that is more than enough for me to want to give it a try!
