Celebrities are just like us, they like to take vacations and see new places. For them it might be a spot that is low key for them to hide and de-stress, like well, Delaware. Hahaha. But for us it's the opposite. (Though I wouldn't mind de-stressing).

A romantic getaway for me would be in a log cabin somewhere in the mountains, snowed in, fireplace, lots of wine and cozy pajammies to leave on and take off at will ;o) Bri and I weren't able to take a honeymoon this November but we will in the future when the finances are better and Brae is a bit older. Hopefully. Until then family vacation ideas are always floating around and being jotted down.

As of right now he has done many romantic things for me and my favorite times most often involve concerts. Going to the Borgata in New Jersey to see Def Leppard and then driving up to the top to take pictures. Sure it was freezing but the pictures were great and we were giddy fools. So it was fun.

We've also spent time at venues in Philadelphia including the Wachovia Center where we've seen Phil Collins, Aerosmith, Keith Urban and a host of other fantastic artists. It would be nice to be able to have a long weekend in Philly and tour the historical elements of the city. If not Philly, I'd love to go up to New York and visit the Musuem of Modern Art.

I have been to New York for a weekend once, with my younger brother, and the trip was just too short. I could look at art all day. New York City tours are something everyone should do in their lifetime because you'll never see a city so full of life and color as you will in NY. If you end up lucky enough to tour New York City, make sure to use Trusted Tours & Attractions for your booking because they know all the best places, even the hidden ones. =o)

This coming saturday is my brother's 24th birthday. It also happens to be a "Get Away" event in St. Augustine, Florida. The last Saturday of each month there are special St. Augustine events in the Uptown San Marco Shopping District.

Galleries, antique stores and unique shops between Ripley's Museum and the Mission of Nobre de Dios remain open during this special time. Or perhaps you have reason to celebrate with your loved one...St. George Street is quite romantic and charming for such occassions.

When you enter the city you will find it is more than just a place to visit. It truly is a get-away from every day life. You'll find old preserved houses, cobble streets and vendors dressed in clothes from the 1700s. It's like taking a step back in time and wandering an old European city...but you're in Florida. Truth be told, St. Augustine was the first permanent European settlement in America.

Some attractions you may not be aware of are Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth and The Oldest Wooden School House in the US.

My brother would actually love this area as he is into art and paintings. Hopefully some day he will get the chance to see The Lightner Museum, and check out the stunning Spanish Renaissance architecture of Flagler College.

After reading about all the amazing things St. Augustine has to offer I actually think that Brian and I should put it on the list of places we'd like to visit. This could end up being a great place for our honeymoon. ;o)

I have yet to take Braeden (my three-year-old) on a real summer vacation. We do fun things, but we've not travelled anywhere or stayed in a hotel or anything fancy like that. I really want to be able to travel with him and show him the world. It's important to me, but it takes money and well...that's something that isn't very plentiful these days.

Hotel Reservations.com makes life easier. They give you fast and easy access to cheap hotels, vacation packages, rental cars, etc. Plus there are reviews on the cheap hotels to help you make your choice. Yes, emphasis on the "cheap" I am a bargain shopper.

You can even change the currency on the site if you are travelling internationally, which is quite helpful. Yes, that means Hotel Reservations.com is a worldwide travel agency online.

For me, any vacation I take will be within the US, at least for now. And one of the things I enjoy about this site is their city guide. So if you want to take a trip to Boston you can quickly read up on the city and find out not only about the hotels and restaurants, but also the history of the city and what makes it special or unique. So not only do I know I can stay at the Longwood Guest Suites for $132/night but I also know nearby attractions include the Avenue Of The Arts, Boston Museum Of Fine Arts and the Boston Museum Of Science. Fun fun for someone who is very into the arts and for a little boy who loves space!
