This morning I received word that there has been yet another act of violence on the streets of Newark. A group of several men jumped a much smaller group of people and one person was rushed to the hospital late Friday night, early Saturday morning on October 15, 2005.

This incident was officially reported in The News Journal's police reports column this morning Monday, October 17, 2005. You can read the report here. The victim is still in the hospital, critical condition, but he is stable. There is bleeding on the brain and one arrest has been made.

Once again I am asking everyone to please speak out against the violence that is overwhelming the streets of Newark, Delaware in and around the University of Delaware campus.
