I received an email this morning from a senior at the University of Delaware who lives in apartments off of Main Street. She found my website and decided to write to me about a recent experience she had with the Newark Police.

This student said her and her roommate has their windows down in their apartment one night and they woke to hear glass breaking. Since this happened only a couple days after two cars were broken into in the parking lot, she reacted right away and called the Newark Police. She gave them her location and a description of what she heard. She then heard further commotion and decided to call her landlord. She, her roommate and the landlord found that the landlord's office had been broken into and ransacked. Over forth minutes had gone by, the robber had alredy fleed the scene and yet still no sign from the Newark Police. The landlord called the police again, and twenty minutes later they came to the scene to investigate. I do not know if this incident has been released to the public.

Once again I am asking everyone to please speak out against the violence that is overwhelming the streets of Newark, Delaware in and around the University of Delaware campus.
