I know I haven’t written anything substantial in awhile and so to write about something so horrible after the hiatus seems wrong, but I need to do this and I need everyone out there who reads this to offer up a prayer.
My Aunt Bobbie, near and dear to my heart, went into the doctor’s last week thinking she had the flu. They sent her home. Several days later she ran up a high fever and started to feel faint, her husband took her to the emergency room.
Part of her intestines had ruptured and they did a four hour surgery to go in an repair it. When they did the took biopsies of the cells to see what caused the rupture and therefore the infection.
Yesterday afternoon Aunt Bobbie found out she has colon cancer and it is in the advanced stages, spreading throughout her intestines. They were unable to surgically remove it alland so when she heals from surgery she will begin chemotherapy. She just turned 45 years old on January 2nd.
This is sudden and it is shocking to her and all of her family. I ask you all, strangers included, to please keep her in your prayers during this difficult time. Prayer can do miraculous things, we need a miracle.
