So. We knew Peyton was going to be attacked in this episode. It was quite terrifying for me to watch actually. I will never understand how a man can beat up a woman and try to force himself on her. It’s disturbing to me that this is someone who found her on the internet and had been keeping tabs on her for Lord knows how long without her even knowing. Thankfully, Luca and Peyton’s real brother were able to come to her rescue. But the fake Derek did get away, after being pushed out a 2nd story window. Oy!
Haley told Nathan about her being pregnant. He was angry at first and felt put out. He had just received his dream scholarship to Duke University to play basketball and now here his wife was with child. He said he was going to college regardless of how she felt. Then during a press conference set up to announce the scholarship, he ended up announcing that he is going to be a father and that any decision made about his life will now be one that he includes Haley and his family in on. It was a really nice moment on the show between the two characters and I am happy that it played out the way it did.
Brooke ends up sleeping with her “blind date” and then the show ends with us finding out he is going to be one of the new teachers at her school. Uh oh.
Dan gets another menacing red message painted on one of his office walls. It referenced a passage in the Bible which talks about killing your brother. Which we all know he has now killed two of his brothers. So someone else knows his secret apparently.
And finally, Deb decides that perhaps she should quit popping pills.
Quote of the night was from Nathan. He says this to Haley at the end of the episode, after having had time to think about the baby.
“You know, I thought it was a miracle that I survived that accident. And I guess I never really felt worthy of it. Now I know that miracle wasn’t for me. It was for us. All three of us!”
***Verna sorry this post is delayed. I can’t believe you missed the show!***
