I have gotten in the headset and completed @getsupernatural Supernatural sessions 4 to 7 days a week, every week, since March 2023. Even when I was sick. Even when I was depressed. Even when it took everything in me to stand up straight.Supernatural VR fitness app has been good for my body, my mind, and honestly my soul. The coaches, the music, the environments, the accessibility, the feeling of belonging. It is truly supernatural, and it has changed my life for the good.So hearing Meta is freezing new content and feature updates is absolutely heartbreaking. I am grateful the library stays active for now, but “for now” can get slippery when a big company decides what is worth maintaining.I wrote an article about the human impact of this, why the coaches are not “content,” and why I very much hope Meta changes their mind.If you are in this community too, I see you. Recently, I had one of those Saturday morning talks that leaves you staring into your coffee like it has answers. My oldest son’s girlfriend and I got into compartmentalization. You know, the thing we call “coping” when what we really mean is “I’m trying not to fall apart.”Some people say their brain is a million open tabs.
Mine feels like tiny rooms with doors.There are rooms I keep shuttered as much as possible.
And there are rooms I have to visit nearly every day. It’s exhausting. It’s painful. And it’s confusing as hell.I wrote a post about it. About boundaries I thought I learned. About how writing helps me breathe, and then I reread every word and worry about what it will stir up in other people.
